Manchester Chinese Christian Church’s Sunday School started in 1986.  We are teaching children Chinese language as well as Christianity.
 
Central Sunday School has,
Chinese Language Classes and the Parent Group in the morning, and
Bible classes and the Youth Group in the afternoon
 
School Year: From October to June each year
Chinese Class

Chinese Class

(Chinese Language Class – Cantonese)
 
Cantonese classes are for aged 5-17 from class 1 to GCSE level.  In the year 2025/26, we had over 240 students and 60 teachers/assistant teachers, of which all were volunteers.
 
Chinese Class Admission Requirements for 2026/27:
  1. Applicants must be at least 5 years old on or before 31st August 2026.
  2. It is compulsory for HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS to attend our Youth Group once a month (mostly 2nd Sunday of every month – dates to be shown on school calendar).
  3. We believe in family learning, therefore:
a) students in PRIMARY SCHOOL must attend our Church Family Service/Christmas Service/Easter Service in the afternoon with their parents/guardians at least TWICE a year, (attendance will be recorded).
 
b) if your child would like to apply for Bible Class in the afternoon, a parent/guardian must also attend our Church Sunday Service, unless exempted (teachers/helpers in Youth Group or Bible Class).

Bible Class

Bible Class

Purpose: To introduce God is love through the Bible

We have 3 English classes and each class is learning about Bible stories, moral teachings, God’s salvation in a classroom format.

Bible Class Admission Requirements for 2026/27:
  1. Applicants must be at least 5 years old on or before 31st August 2026.
  2. If your child(ren) would like to apply for Bible Class in the afternoon, a parent/guardian must also attend our Church Sunday Service, unless exempted (teachers/helpers in Youth Group or Bible Class).

Youth Group

Youth Group

Purpose: To build relationship with God and each other through witnesses, activities and Biblical teaching

Aims:
To develop healthy & caring social network amongst the young people
To promote loving and caring environment, so that they too can become a loving and caring individual

Description:
Youth Group is for aged 12 to 17 young people.

Meeting are activities based – young people learn & discuss social issues from a Christian view point based on the Bible.

Parent Group

Parent Group

Purpose: To get together to discuss and support each other on family issues with Christian view point that are relevant to them

Aims:

  • To provide support to both children and parents.
  • To organise different activities; such as child-parent relationship, children studying Chinese language skill and discussion on parental issues, etc.
